What the Advanced Trainer Workshop offers
The Workshop is designed to give practising trainers tips and hints to enhancetheir course participants’ motivation to learn and become involved in thel earning process
A similar workshop has already been given to experienced trainers working in the international Oil & Gas Industry in Houston, USA in January 2009. The feedback from the participants was excellent.
Who Should Attend
This is a workshop for trainers who currently deliver courses and for those traine rcoming back to training after a time way.
The workshop is highly interactive and participants will be expected to take anactive part. The facilitator will encourage participants to share their experiences, exercises and coping strategies during this workshop
Aims
By the end of the workshop, participants will beable to:
1. Explain the benefits of collaborative learning
2. List stimulating ways of starting their courses
3. Demonstrate how to elicit existing knowledge of participants attending the course
4. Build on participants’ existing knowledge
5. Identify the type of learners
6. List strategies to cope with different types of learners
7. List strategies to cope with difficult participants
8. Explain the advantages and disadvantages of small group work
9. List practical ‘Do’s & Don’ts' of facilitating small group learning activities
10. Demonstrate how to effectively debrief group exercises
CourseLength
This workshop is delivered in one day. An extended workshop can be delivered over two days.
Numberof Participants
Because of the interactive nature of this workshop the minimum number of participants needed to run this workshop are 6. The maximum number of participants the facilitator will accommodate on the workshop is 24.
Cost
The cost of the workshop is £ 800, for a one-dayworkshop and £1,400 for a two-day work plus VAT & expenses, regardless of whether the minimum or maximum number of course participants attend.
