FirstClass Designer Course Course Overview FirstClass DESIGNER training is for Administrators who wish to enhance their skills to allow them to customise their FirstClass system and use the features of this software  to the full. During the course each participant will take part in exercises and discussions relating to design functions.  They will also have the opportunity to practise design for their own FirstClass system. With active student participation throughout, this is a true hands-on course.  By the end participants will have the necessary skills to confidently customise a FirstClass system.  They will be given a complete course outline  The training will also be supported by a step-by-step guide, handouts and notes that will also be given to each participants . Aim To develop advanced FirstClass designer skills. Objectives On successful completion of the course participants will be able to configure pictures, icons and sounds within a FirstClass settings file design and create a FirstClass form customise the FC Resource Registry Topics areas will include: Working with resources The parts and function of the Designer Naming pictures and placing pictures on a splash screen, the FirstClass desktop and conferences. Naming icons and replacing standard FirstClass icons Naming sounds, replacing standard FirstClass sounds and making sounds play when an object is opened in FirstClass Forms Standard forms and Example.fc Creating a form Using the Field Attributes window Adding checklists, pop-up menus, guide text, buttons, tabs, and calendars Placing pictures and icons within a settings file, and using shapes to enhance your form Creating stationery Using your settings file on a different platform Venue and Equipment The course runs every two months, normally in Milton Keynes, UK.  If there are sufficient students from one sponsoring organisation the training can be delivered at the participants’ premises in a room they should make available.
